Depending on predisposition, some people suffer from dilation of skin vessels (teleangiectases) in the area of the face and/or neck. This disturbing redness (also couperose or rosacea, with separate vessels also called spider naevus) can become more obvious after the consumption of alcohol or heavily spiced food or due to sun exposure or heating effect. Such disturbing vessels can be removed without damaging the skin or leaving scars.

The treatment can only destroy already dilated vessels. It will not prevent new vessels from appearing in other areas in the future due to unchanged predisposition. Superficial redness and red spots can also be reduced. One can treat not only flat lesions (on the nose, cheeks, forehead etc.), but also separate vessels. Normally, it is possible to carry out a complete treatment of both cheeks and nose during one session.

If required, the remaining vessels can be treated during the following sessions. As a rule, it is necessary to have one or two aftertreatments of the kind. In their complexity, these aftertreatments are mostly less extensive in comparison with the initial treatment. A pulsed dye laser or a Nd:Yag laser is used to perform the treatments.
